I just completed a full-leg tattoo with Blaze Schwaller, and I’m gloriously happy with my body-art, but very sad our collaboration has reached its goal.

We have 24 hours of work into our piece, and it’s been a wondrous journey of artistic, literary and self-exploration. Blaze works intuitively, and brings her substantive training in the Fine Arts, as well as her passion for Literature and Nature to every piece she creates.

At my initial consultation, I told her I wanted to do a full-leg piece with personal meaning, which would be rendered by morphing two mythologies, and filled-in with botanical and physical references taken from the works of master modern-author, Neil Gaiman.

Instead of running away as fast as possible, she gave me her big BLAZE smile and said, “I love Neil Gaiman! I love mythology! And I love how you want to personalize it! Absolutely, this will be fantastic.” And from that moment on, every part of the process has indeed been a blast.

Blaze is very organized, and very clear in her communications. Her eye for detail is impeccable: her sense of color, breathtaking. Her human figures look like evocative oil paintings, and even her botanicals seem alive.

The biggest risk you take with Blaze is facing the probability that your tattoo will end up larger than you thought it would be…. Because it will be so beautiful, you will want to allow room to include every detail she offers….
My advice? Take her up on it - and Enjoy the Ride!

Blaze has been a truly committed woman to her craft since its inception. Though I only have one piece of her work now and it it is very sentimental to me, I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone; whether it be their first tattoo or their 15th. She has a joy that exudes her being while working that makes you feel better for having met her, having been tattoed, and for realizing that the permanence of her work stands alone. Its exceptional.

Hello to All My friends , I just made a tatto of my mother by stacy blandchard ,Im so happy to have my mother because she means my life ,A little brief about the Gallery first the people are really cool frendly , the place is totally clean and the employes are clean and neat apearance , when they open the store I was one of the first customer three years ago , I like the gallery and I recomended to anyone you going to be happy ....good luck guys and keep it like that !!! att. william

The Spirit Gallery staff was extremely friendly and accommodating when I came in to get a tattoo redone by another tattoo artist in the New London area. I loved their work so much, I came in a month later to get my other tattoo. I highly recommend Spirit Gallery to anyone who is apprehensive about choosing a place to get body art done.
